One of the perks of being a photographer is that sometimes you’re asked to photograph something cool, perhaps something you wouldn’t ordinarily have access to. Such was the case with this Porsche 550 Spyder. The original 550 Spyder was made famous as being the car that screen legend James Dean died in. Very few original Spyder’s remain and as such they are highly valued. The Spyder used in the Photoshoot was infact a replica, made in Sydney by a Company called Chamonix: www.550spyder.com.au
With my back up crew and designated Spyder driver we headed off out west of Sydney, towards Picton. It was very hot and very sunny, two of the worst conditions to Photograph cars. However, by the end of the day we had gotten some great shots and just a little sunburn. By the way, this thing goes like the clappers.
